Miesha Theresa Tate, an American mixed-martial arts expert. She is also a mixed martial arts veteran. Tate competed in Ultimate Fighting Championships. She was a UFC Women's Bantamweight champion. Born in Tacoma, Washington, she was an active participant in sports since her time in school. Her first experience with a mixed martial arts group at Central Washington University after a friend recommended it. She first made her appearance as a professional at the HOOKnSHOOT Women's One-Night Grand Prix in 2007. After two years, Tate became the FCF Women's Bantamweight Champion for the first time. Tate was praised for her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu style, and she also wrestled. In the following years, her renown gained momentum when she became the first woman to win the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Championship.
