Vinita Nair
In July 2004 Nair joined ABC News and was able to cover a range of topics, including investigating the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was employed to ABC News in December 2007 as a anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now. In her new role she was responsible for anchoring live reports and coverage for ABC's digital network. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now, America This Morning and ABC's digital channel starting on September 17th, 2008 until February 18th, 2011. On both of these programs, Nair worked initially in partnership by Jeremy Hubbard. Later she was paired with Rob Nelson. On the 17th of February in 2011, Nair announced that Friday, February 18 would be her final broadcast night at World News Now. It would also be her last day working for ABC News. The former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her replacement immediately. In the February 18 issue of World News Now paid tribute to Nair in each of its three segments. The show also included appearances from current and former colleagues, including Jeremy Hubbard. Nair treated her crew to a hot breakfast at the end of her day.
